New Headline Sponsor changes Cymru Alliance Name

Huws Gray and the Cymru Alliance League are delighted to announce that North Wales’ premier building materials centre will continue their long-running sponsorship of North Wales’ premier football league for a further three years up to the end of season 2012-13.

As part of this enhanced partnership, the league previously known as the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance will become the Huws Gray Alliance with immediate effect, and the Cymru Alliance League Cup will be relaunched as the Huws Gray Cup.

Announcing the agreement, the League Chairman Steve Williams said;

"We have enjoyed a mutually beneficial partnership with Huws Gray for many years, and appreciate their generosity in not only extending but enhancing the current agreement."

"In these difficult and uncertain times, it is a great relief for us to be able to secure a three year deal. Such security will enable us to implement plans to further develop and improve the league."

"Changes in the pyramid system means that there have been many changes in terms of member clubs since May. Whilst we extend a warm welcome to all our new clubs, we are also pleased to retain the support of our long-time principal sponsors."

Huws Gray's Managing Director Terry Owen believes that the new deal should be a cause of celebration for both parties;

"With both the league and Huws Gray turning 20 years old this month (August), we are delighted to extend our long-standing relationship with the region's foremost football league."

"As a company, just like football players, clubs and leagues, we are always looking to develop and striving to improve our performance. We hope that our increased commitment to the Huws Gray Alliance will help us all to achieve our aims."

"Naturally, with Llangefni being home to Huws Gray's Head Office, I’ll look forward to seeing if the town's team can retain the title this season. However, when you add the calibre of Rhyl, Porthmadog, Connahs Quay and Cefn Druids to an already competitive league, it promises to be a very tough and exciting race for the title this season."
