Trundle's Neath Introduction Spoilt by Swans

Lee Trundle's first appearance in a Neath shirt ended in defeat as Swansea City beat the Eagles 2-0 at a drenched Gnoll on Thursday night.

Wearing their new first team strip of all black to resemble the traditional identity of the town's rugby team, the Eagles made the worst possible start to the game.

Scott Donnelly scored his first Swansea City goal as he headed in a Jazz Richards' cross after 48 seconds before Shefki Kuqi doubled the lead just two minutes later.

Donnelly, signed from Aldershot, was the provider two minutes later as his shot was spilled by 'keeper Wyn Walters and striker Kuqi scored from six yards.

Kuqi and Richards had goals ruled out for offside while returning striker Stephen Dobbie, who spent most of last season on loan at Blackpool, hit the post.

Kristian O'Leary also made his debut for Swansea City, whilst young defender Jamie Grimes, who spent the whole of last season at Haverfordwest County, played the whole 90 minutes for the Swans.
