Goals Galore in the Principality Welsh Premier
There were goals galore in the Principality Welsh Premier League today, with nineteen goals in four games as Newtown, Bangor City, Port Talbot Town and Technogroup Welshpool all enjoyed victories.
Newtown AFC 3-2 Prestatyn Town
There were four goals in the first half at Latham Park in an exciting opening period. Gavin Cadwallader scored the opener on five minutes for the hosts, but Steve Rogers restored parity on twelve minutes. Paul Roberts scored just two minutes later to hand the Robins the lead again, but an Andy Moran goal on 24 minutes made it 2-2. Newtown took the lead for the third time, when the unfortunate Dave Hayes scored an own-goal with just over 20 minutes to play, which proved to be the winner. With seven minutes to play Steve Hoult was shown his second yellow card to send Prestatyn down to ten men.
Bangor City 3-2 Carmarthen Town AFC
Bangor cruised to a 3-0 lead at Farrar Road with Lee Hunt, Sion Edwards and Jamie Reed all finding the back of the net. Sasha Walters pulled one back a minute before the break for the visitors. Tim Hicks pulled another one back for the Old Gold, but they could not complete the comeback.

Port Talbot Town 4-0 Caersws FC
Liam McCreesh returned to the Steelmen side after a five-match ban and he showed everyone why he was sorely missed as he took just eight minutes to score the opener. A double salvo in two minutes from Matthew Rees (40') and Martin Rose (42') gave the hosts a comfortable lead at the break. After the interval, Rose scored his brace on 49 minutes, but they couldn't find the back of the net again.
CPD Porthmadog 2-3 Technogroup Welshpool
The visitors staged a great comeback at Y Traeth as they came from a goal deficit to win the game. It was goalless at the interval but teenage striker Cai Jones broke the deadlock five minutes after the break for the hosts and just two minutes later Chris Jones made it 2-0. But, the visitors striker Mark Stewart scored a quickfire brace in five second-half minutes to bring 'Pool level and Steffan Edwards made it 3-2 with just two minutes remaining to claim the three points.
Llanelli P-P Rhyl
The match was postponed on Saturday morning with a waterlogged pitch.
