Saturday's Principality Welsh Premier Preview

Neath v The New Saints

Neath will be boosted by last week's 1-0 win at Rhyl as they entertain title aspirants TNS at the Gnoll in another difficult test this afternoon.

The Eagles will be without suspended skipper Steve Pockett who was red-carded last weekend, whilst young midfielder Luke Morgan is also still banned and veteran striker Carl Shaw is out for the season. The Eagles do have the luxury of the returning Ashley Evans and Craig Steins though.

The Saints beat Carmarthen 2-1 in midweek and were grateful to striker Chris Sharp, who bagged a brace, but they go into this afternoon's clash in South Wales without the former Bangor forward as he sits out through suspension.

Caersws v Llanelli

Title contenders Llanelli will be favourites to record their twelfth successive league win at Caersws this afternoon. The Reds go into the game without the suspended Owain Warlow, but have enough strength in depth to provide a quality deputy.

Airbus UK Broughton v Port Talbot Town

After successive defeats for the first time this season, Port Talbot will not be relishing the difficult trip to Broughton this afternoon. The Steelmen are still without the suspended Liam McCreesh, whose goals from midfield have been vital this campaign. Winger Daniel Thomas is also missing for the same reason.

Rhyl v Elements Cefn Druids

Rhyl will be hoping to bounce back after last week's defeat to Neath with three points against the Druids at Belle Vue. Rhyl have doubts over striker Rob Turner and defender Phil Ojapah. The Druids will still be smarting after conceding a 95th minute equaliser against Airbus in midweek, but they have enjoyed a good run of form of late and will be hoping for a good performance and a possible point, on a ground where they claimed an unlikely win last season.

GAP Connah's Quay v Carmarthen Town

This match is another vital one for both teams in their push for a place in next year's revamped League. The Old Gold were beaten in midweek after a good win at Port Talbot last Saturday, so Deryn Brace will be hoping his side can return to winning ways at the Deeside Stadium.
