Aber consolidated third place with Porth Win

Aberystwyth Town 1-0 CPD Porthmadog

Aber consolidated third place with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Tomi Morgan's Porthmadog at Park Avenue. The hosts took the lead just before the interval when Geoff Kellaway struck on 43 minutes and it proved decisive for Alan Morgan's side.

Aber named the experienced duo Graham Evans and Glyndwr Hughes on the bench. Porth were without Rob and Andy Evans, who joined from Aber in the January window due to the agreement between the clubs.

Prestatyn Town 1-1 Bangor City

It was honours even at Bastion Road as the club's shared a point to remain locked on points in the table. Mike Parker opened the scoring on 27 minutes for Prestatyn, but Nicky Ward restored parity on 53 minutes.

Striker Jon Fisher-Cooke, who scored in midweek for Prestatyn, was dropped to the bench with Andy Moran recalled. Moran's former strike partner at Rhyl, Lee Hunt was named in the Bangor side, although Ashley Stott was only named on the bench.

Technogroup Welshpool 1-5 Newtown AFC

Newtown eased to victory at Maesydre in a Mid Wales derby to keep their Welsh Premier League aspirations alive. Paul Roberts and Adam Worton both scored a brace for the Robins as Darren Ryan's men closed the gap on Haverfordwest to two points.

Roberts gave Newtown the lead on the quarter of an hour mark, when he beat debutant 'keeper Steve Bellersby in the Welshpool goal. Adam Worton then struck his brace in two minutes as he made the score 3-0 on 21 minutes. Welshpool were given some hope when on-loan Wrexham youngster Jordan Kane scored his first senior goal with twenty minutes left, but any hopes of a home comeback were dashed, when Roberts scored his brace with nine minutes remaining, before Ross Stephens struck a 90th minute fifth.
