Reds Boss Legg to Meet the Fans

Llanelli manager, Andy Legg will be holding a 'Meet the Fans Forum" at the Llanelli AFC Social Club on Thursday 4th March 2010.

The evening will start at 8pm at Stebonheath and the former Wales International will answer questions on anything to do with Llanelli AFC and his career to date.

Legg took over as Llanelli boss on May 30th last year and has guided the Reds to the top of the Principality Welsh Premier League and to the Welsh Cup Quarter-Final. The 'A' Licensed coach, who starts his Pro Licence next month, replaced Peter Nicholas who was told three days earlier that he would be leaving the club when his contract expired on 31st May 2009.

Legg played under Nicholas at the club, having re-joined the Reds for a third spell in September 2007 after he left Hucknall Town as Player/Manager following six straight defeats. He made his Llanelli debut in the 2006/07 UEFA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round, 1st Leg against Odense at the grand age of 40.

Neath born 'Leggy' has battled back from cancer for a second time after a 17-year professional career, which saw him make 576 league appearances for seven different clubs (Swansea City, Cardiff City, Reading, Birmingham, Ipswich, Notts County and Peterborough), scoring 61 goals in that time.
