Jones delight as Grist commits to Blues

Port Talbot Town have announced that defender Lloyd Grist has signed a new contract with the club, to the delight of his manager Mark Jones.

A press release from the clus stated;

"Summer signing Grist has been in superb form this season and has now committed himself to the club for next season following Tuesday's 7-0 win over Elements Cefn Druids."

He is an important player for us and has been in fantastic form this season. For me this is the best result of the night

Grist has overcome personal tragedy this season, with the death of his mother in December, but has enjoyed his best campaign in his top-flight career as his manager highlighted.

"I am extremely pleased that Lloyd has committed himself to the club," said Jones to the club's official website, www.porttalbottown.co.uk.

"He is an important player for us and has been in fantastic form this season. For me this is the best result of the night."

Grist started his football career with Shrewsbury Town and has also played for Caersws, Aberystwyth, Newport County and Canadian side Toronto Lynx. The left-back also played under Jones at Welsh League Dinas Powys before his stint in North America.

Port Talbot Town made the announcement through their website www.porttalbottown.co.uk.
