Former Toffee joins Caton's Bala

New Bala signing Steve Morrison is a former Everton youngster (Everton FC photo)Bala Town hae announced the signing of Steven Morrison from Skelmersdale United FC. The 21-year old is an attacking midfielder and was a trainee at Everton.

Steven, from Birkdale, is a tall, elegant midfielder with excellent passing ability. He won England under 16 honours as well as becoming a key member of the Everton under 18's side. He then graduated to the reserve set-up and featured for Andy Holden's team on a regular basis before he was released at the end of the 2007/08 campaign.

The Bala Town website reports that manager Colin Caton is delighted with his winter window signings which have also seen Danny Williams join from Droylsden, Michael Thompson from Porthmadog, Welsh Under 18 International Gwydion Ifan from Ruthin and Paul Ennis from Stalybridge Celtic

Leaving the club though is midfielder Peter Moore who returns after his loan from Southport.
