County sign another former Bluebird

Lee HudgellTalented winger Lee Hudgell has today transferred back to Haverfordwest County from local side Merlins Bridge.

The German-born midfielder last featured in the Welsh Premier League with Carmarthen Town but left the Old Gold after just one season at the end of last year. He joined Carmarthen in July 2008, after he left County at the end of the 2007/08 season to travel to New Zealand with team-mate Chris O'Sullivan, who has also recently re-joined Haverfordwest.

We're delighted to have him back which will bring more experience into the side along with other recent signings

Hudgell originally made his league debut for County under Jason Jones in 2000/01 season, and played in the 2004 UEFA Cup away leg in Iceland for the Bluebirds and still holds their club scoring record (5) for one match. He was awarded the Principality Welsh Premier League Player of the Month for January 2007 after a number of fine displays for the Bluebirds and subsequently had an unsuccessful trial at Cardiff City.

A club spokesman said this afternoon;

"We're delighted to have him back which will bring more experience into the side along with other recent signings."
