Druids capture striker Penlington from Bala
Elements Cefn Druids have captured their first signing of the summer by bringing in Gary Penlington from Bala Town.
The striker scored 21 goals in The Lakersiders' Cymru Alliance winning season but was attracted to Druids after speaking to managers Waynne Phillips and Lee Jones.
Phillips said; "He's hungry and wants to do well here. Being Bala's leading scorer last season and scoring so many goals at that level shows he has the ability.
"We're pleased to have signed him. We lost Mark Stewart but feel he is the ideal replacement for him."
Also commiting to Druids next season is Lee T Jones.
He played virtually in all of the matches last season and did well for us. He got his chances last season and took them
The young defender had been exploring his options but signed forms for the 2009/10 season with The Ancients after his namesake manager convinced him his future remained at the club.
"A lot of credit goes to Lee because he worked so hard to convince him to stay.
"He played virtually in all of the matches last season and did well for us. He got his chances last season and took them.
"We want him to do well in the game and move on to better things, but we're delighted he's decided to stay with us for another season."
