Tomi Signs Quintet of Former Players

John Keegan has joined PorthmadogPorthmadog manager Tomi Morgan has announced the club's first 5 signings in readiness for the 2009/10 season.

They are all familiar players for Morgan as the quintet have all played under him in the Welsh Premier League previously. They are experienced players who will certainly boost the Porth squad for the forthcoming season, as they boast nearly 500 appearances between them.

Striker Aden Shannon, who has big boots to fill by replacing Marc Lloyd Williams, has scored 61 goals in 102 games for Welshpool, Cefn Druids and most recently GAP Connah's Quay. Left-back Paul Dowridge played for the Nomads and Welshpool last season, whilst centre-back John Keegan was the skipper at Maesydre under Morgan and he will be a direct replacement for Rhys Roberts who has joined Airbus UK Broughton.

Physical midfielder Ceri James also had a spell at Welshpool under Morgan and he has mpre recently played for Llandyrnog. The versatile Craig Wilkinson makes up the quintet. He burst on to the League scene as a 16-year old but has been hampered by injury. He can play at the back or in midfield.
