Aberaman withdraw FAW Appeal
The Principality Welsh Premier League were informed by the Football Association of Wales this morning that Aberaman Athletic have decided to withdraw their Appeal against the decision not to admit the club for Season 2009/10.
I wish Aberaman every success in the forthcoming season. They are a very progressive club and have shown great commitment to improve their facilities.
The club stated that they had decided that they had made this decision in the best interests of Welsh football as the prolonged appeal process would leave clubs in the pyramid uncertain of their future in the coming weeks.
In welcoming the news, League secretary John Deakin said,
"I'm obviously very pleased that Aberaman have made this decision, which will help both the Principality Welsh Premier and other Leagues, make firm preparations for the coming season."
"I wish Aberaman every success in the forthcoming season. They are a very progressive club and have shown great commitment to improve their facilities, which will hopefully assist them to gain promotion to our League in the future."
Caersws will definitely remain in the League for the 2009/10 season and can now make preparations for the forthcoming campaign.
