Former Saint Toner signs for Bala
Bala Town have signed expereinced striker John Toner from TNS.
The Liverpudlian is TNSâs record goal scorer and was the longest-serving player before his surprise release from the club at the end of the 2008/09 campaign.
He began his career as a trainee with Liverpool and burst onto the Welash Premier League scene with Cemaes Bay before scoring 38 goals in 49 games for Conwy United. He signed forthe Saints from Conwy in November 1999, scoring on his debut against Connah's Quay.
He played in the Champions League qualifiers for the club against his hometown side Liverpool and also played in the UEFA Cup for the Saints. He is a League Championship winner, Welsh Cup winner and Loosemores Cup winner and will bring a wealth of experience to the League's newcomers. He scored his 100th Welsh Premier goal for the Saints at Aberystwyth in October 2008.
