Prestatyn Capture Experienced Rhyl Duo
Prestatyn Town boss Neil Gibson has snapped up two new signings from Rhyl as he bids to strengthen his squad for the club's second season in the Top Flight.
Former Bangor City skipper and defender Paul O'Neil, 27, who made 26 appearances for Macclesfield Town in the Football League will be joined by former Rhyl stalwart Gareth Wilson who has pledged his future to the Seasiders.
After continued negotiations I am delighted we've fought off strong competition from other clubs to bring in both Paul and Gareth
Wilson, an ex-Wrexham youth and professional has spent 11 seasons at Belle Vue apart from a spell with TNS and a loan period at Welshpool last season. The 30-year-old midfielder will bring a wealth of experience having featured in over 230 Welsh Premier League games.
"After continued negotiations I am delighted we've fought off strong competition from other clubs to bring in both Paul and Gareth who I am sure will enhance our chances of achieving our aims next season.
"I am still looking at bringing in another one or two in addition to Andy Moran who joined earlier in the week and hopefully I will have tied things up very shortly" he added to the club's website.
