Citizen Smyth returns to Farrar Road
Bangor City have announced the signing of left-sided midfielder Mark Smyth.
His return to Farrar Road will be his second spell at the club, after he was originally signed by Steve Bleasdale in December 2006. He then followed the ex-Bangor boss to Leigh RMI at the start of last season before signing for Whitton Albion.
Mark is a skilful left footed 24-year old who can play on either side of midfield and in attack. Confirming City's latest acquisition on the club's website, manager Neville Powell commented,
"The pieces are falling together in the jigsaw, with Mark a more than useful addition to the squad. He will not only be a quality midfield replacement for Chris Seargeant, but will also chip in with quite a few goals - which we lacked towards the end of last season.
"With the high quality we now have in the squad we will be a real force to be reckoned with. With attackers Les Davies, Chris Sharp, Ashley Stott and Mark Smyth in our squad; and with Dave Morley having strengthened our defence, we have to be optimistic about the forthcoming season."
