Striker Mike Hayes has re-joined Bala Town from Connah´s Quay to become the Lakesiders second signing of the summer window.

The Chester born forward left Town in 2011 to sign for Airbus before re-joining the Nomads where he made 48 (+21) appearances, scoring 29 goals for the Quay in the WPL. In his first spell with the Lakesiders, Hayes made 17 appearances and scored five goals.

Town have also confirmed that two key players have also committed for next season. Centre back Tony Davies and goalkeeper Ashley Morris have both extended their contracts.

Davies, 29, faced a long spell on the sidelines last season due to a knee ligament injury sustained against Levadia Tallinn but made 14 (+2) appearances, netting once.

Morris made 41 appearances last term in goal for the Lakesiders and was outstanding in his second season with the club. Only The New Saints and Airbus conceded fewer goals last season than Town, which is testament to Morris' performances.

"Ash is by far the best goalkeeper in the league. His handling and kicking is brilliant and I am delighted that he is staying with us" said a Bala Town statement.
