Appeals Panel Dismiss Aberystwyth Town's Appeal

An Appeals Panel of the Football Association of Wales sat today (7th February 2014) to consider an appeal by Aberystwyth Town Football Club.

Aberystwyth Town were appealing against the decision of a Disciplinary Panel who fined the club £250.00 and deducted 3 (three) points from their Welsh Premier League First Phase record under FAW Rule 38.1.6, for allegedly fielding a player whilst under suspension in their Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League match against Gap Connah’s Quay on 4th January 2014.

The Appeals Panel decided to dismiss Aberystwyth Town’s appeal and that the original punishment imposed on the club remains in place.

Aberystwyth Town have until Tuesday, 18th February 2014 to refer the matter to an Independent Arbitration Panel.
