Super Sub Bond strikes for Steelmen

Chad Bond scored the winner for Port Talbot

Chad Bond scored the winner for Port Talbot

In a very blustery and wet Park Avenue, Aberystwyth Town lost their ten-month home streak without losing, as they fell to two late goals to Port Talbot, writes Nye Venables.

Aberystwyth against the wind edged the chances in the first but the heavy raj and gusting winds made most impossible for both teams. Early in the second half Antonio Corbisiero played two in swinging corners trying to play the wind to the Seasiders advantage, and it worked as Craig Williams managed to glance the ball on his head and over the line on 50 minutes.

As the half wore on chances fell to both sides in the box, but first Rhys Griffiths quickest to react on 84 minutes then a good strike from the edge of the area on 88 minutes from Chad Bond condemned Aber to a loss and make Port Talbot the first side to do the double over Aberystwyth this season.
