Nomads celebrate their second goal (Nik Mesney)

The Nomads were denied a first win in 10 games at Deeside Stadium as two late goals from Prestatyn saw a true game of two halves end level, writes Nik Mesney.

Both sides took advantage of the strong wind, with The Nomads dominating the majority of the first half, while the second half saw Prestatyn camped in The Nomads' half. An early mistake from Prestatyn 'keeper Dave Roberts saw Mike Hayes rob him, round him and finish with only six minutes on the clock. The Nomads created a number of other first half chances with Simon Everall unlucky not to make it 2-0 before half time.

Prestatyn came out for the second half and dominated possession, but on a rare Nomads counter attack, a penalty was awarded for a handball inside the box which Paul Mooney calmly slotted in to make it 2-0. Prestatyn however were not to be beaten and worked tirelessly in the difficult conditions and hit two late goals through substitutes Gareth Wilson and Sean Hessey to end a tough fought game 2-2.
