Winning more Important than Clean Sheets - Harrison

Having helped to guide The New Saints to another win on Friday evening, Director of Football, Craig Harrison has spoken about his side’s incredbile home record, which has seen the Saints win every home game this season.

They have also scored 32 goals and even more remarkably; they are still yet to concede a single goal at home this season.

Harrison is happy with how his team are playing and said; "We are very strong at home and the reason we are doing so well is down to our hard work. We work very hard every day in training and the players are responding to everything I want. We are as fit as we have ever been, we are a tight group with players that want to work hard for each other and we have a really good squad that is full of ability."

Harrison was delighted that his team kept another clean sheet but would rather win games, than try and protect the wonderful record;

"It is great that we are keeping clean sheets but the result is more important. We are always looking ahead to our next game and we know that we must remain focused.

Won 9
Goals For 32
Goals Against 0

"We would never try and protect our clean sheet record instead of trying to win a game as winning is what it is all about. I don’t mind winning by two goals to one or three goals to two but I will never go into any game trying to draw nil nil, just so that we can preserve our defensive record."

TNS will now face two important league games prior to Christmas. Firstly on Tuesday, The Saints will travel down to Carmarthen, hoping for a repeat performance from earlier in the season, when a rampant Saints side demolished The Old Gold by six goals to nil. The Oswestry based side will then play their final game before Christmas, entertaining Bala Town on Friday the 20th of December.
