Leigh De-Vulgt of Port Talbot Town was awarded with the Welsh Premier League Clubman of the Year at the FAW Awards Night on Monday evening in the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff.

The defender is now in his tenth successive season at the club and has recently started coaching the youngsters too. Going into this season he had made 205 full appearances in the WPL for Port Talbot, as well as 30 from the bench, scoring twice. He is just two starts away from 250 in the League having also played at Carmarthen and Llanelli on loan when he was on Swansea City's books. A former Wales U21 international and the brother in law of former Welsh International John Hartson, having married John's sister Vicky.

Former Wakes Under 21 international De-Vulgt becomes the third winner of the Award, following in the footsteps of the inaugural winner Gary Lloyd and Aneurin Thomas.

Also recognised with a lifetime achievement award was Peter Nicholas who won 73 caps for Wales and remains the only Welsh Premier League manager to have won the League with two different clubs; Barry Town and Llanelli.
