Saturday Results & Reports - Airbus & TNS Draw

Amazing Game at Richmond Park

Airbus UK 1 The New Saints (Y Seintiau Newydd) 1
Airbus UK came from behind to secure a point which kept them above TNS in the table and preserved their unbeaten start to the season in the process.
The opening goal of this keenly contested match came in the 22nd minute as Chris Marriott’s corner caused havoc in the Airbus defence and found its way into the corner of James Coates’ net.
Andy Preece’s men were unfortunate to find themselves behind at the break but 8 minutes after the restart – Chris Budrys claimed his second goal of the season as he beat Paul Harrison from 18 yards.
TNS’s Director of Football Craig Harrison – who spent over 3 years in charge at Broughton said before the match that he would be happy with a point – and that’s exactly what he got.

Tarodd Airbus yn ôl yn erbyn Y Seintiau i hawlio pwynt sy’n eu cadw ar frig y tabl uwchben y Pencampwyr presennol.
‘Roedd yr ymwelwyr ychydig yn ffodus i fod ar y blaen ar yr egwyl ac ‘roedd y lwc o’u plaid wedi 22 munud wrth i gornel Chris Marriott ddiweddu rywsut yn rhwyd James Coates wedi blerwch amddiffynnol.
Cafodd Airbus eu haeddiant 8 munud wedi troi wrth i Chris Budrys rwydo’i ail gôl o’r tymor trwy guro Paul Harrison o 18 llath.
Treuliodd Cyfarwyddwr Pêl-droed y Seintiau Craig Harrison dros dair blynedd wrth y llyw yn y Maes Awyr ac fe ddywedodd cyn y gêm y byddai’n fodlon gyda phwynt. Dyna’n union gafodd o – ond Airbus sy’n parhau ar frig y tabl a bechgyn Brychdyn yw’r unig dîm o hyd sydd heb golli gêm y tymor yma.

Carmarthen Town (Caerfyrddin) 3 Gap Connah’s Quay (Gap Cei Connah) 3
What a game this was as Carmarthen snatched a point having been 3 down at half time.
Daniel Forde opened the scoring after only 5 minutes and when Carl Evans was shown his marching orders for fouling Mike Hayes in the penalty box (33) the writing seemed to be on the wall. Gary O’Toole converted the spot kick and 3 minutes before the break O’Toole scored his 5th goal since returning to the Nomads.
Jack Rowlands’ dismissal (67) gave the home side hope and within 5 minutes Forde (og) and Liam Thomas had netted for Carmarthen. Cortez Belle’s late dismissal left Carmarthen with only 9 men but Christian Doidge’s goal at the death secured an unlikely point for the Old Gold.

Am gêm ! Hawliwyd pwynt gan Gaerfyrddin yn yr eiliadau olaf un wedi iddyn nhw fod dair gôl ar ei hôl hi ar yr egwyl.
Rhoddodd Daniel Forde yr ymwelwyr ar y blaen wedi 5 munud yn unig a phan ddanfonwyd Carl Evans o’r maes am lorio Mike Hayes yn y cwrt (33) – ‘roedd hi’n ymddangos bod yr ysgrifen ar y mur. Rhwydodd Gary O’Toole o’r smotyn cyn hawlio’i bumed gôl ers dychwelyd i Gap dri munud cyn troi.
Danfonwyd Jack Rowlands o’r maes (67) ac o fewn 5 munud ‘roedd Forde (geh) a Liam Thomas wedi rhwydo dros Gaerfyrddin – ‘Roedd hi’n ymddangos bod gobeithion yr Hen Aur yn deilchion pan ddanfonwyd Cortez Belle o’r maes yn y munud olaf un – ond yn eiliadau yr amen hawliodd Christian Doidge bwynt anhygoel i fechgyn Mark Aizlewood.

Newtown (Y Drenewydd) 2 Prestatyn 1
Newtown secured their second victory in 7 days as they came from behind to beat the Seasiders.
Prestatyn have now failed to win in their last 5 Corbett Sports WPL matches. Lee Hunt gave them the lead just before the half hour mark but the Robins struck twice before the break through Craig Williams (31) and a Matthew Hearsey effort in the dying seconds of the opening period.
Although Prestatyn enjoyed significant possession their dismal day was compounded by Gareth Wilson’s 75th minute dismissal.

Hawliodd Y Drenewydd eu hail fuddugoliaeth mewn 7 niwrnod wrth iddyn nhw daro’n ôl yn erbyn Prestatyn brynhawn Sadwrn. Dyw tîm Lee Jones heb ennill yn eu 5 gêm gynghrair ddiwethaf bellach. Cafodd yr ymwelwyr ddechrau da wrth i Lee Hunt rwydo wedi 28 munud ond ‘roedd bechgyn Bernie McNally ar y blaen cyn yr egwyl diolch i ymdrechion Craig Williams a Matthew Hearsey.
Cwblhawyd prynhawn diflas Prestatyn pan welodd Gareth Wilson ail gerdyn melyn gyda chwarter awr yn weddill.

Port Talbot 1 Rhyl 0
Martin Rose’s scrambled 78th minute effort was enough to secure the Steelmen’s second victory of the current campaign. The popular striker had only been on the field of play for 6 minutes before his instinct allowed him to poke the vital winner for his side and condemned Rhyl to their first defeat in 4 WPL outings.

Dim ond 6 munud wedi dod i’r maes – hawliodd Martin Rose unig gôl y gêm ar y GenQuip gan sicrhau dim ond ail fuddugoliaeth o’r tymor i Bort Talbot. Cyn yr ornest hon – doedd Y Rhyl heb golli yn eu pedair gêm gynghrair ddiwethaf.

Bala Town (Y Bala) 0 Afan Lido (Lido Afan) 0
Both clubs were in the bottom two positions at the start of the day with only one victory between them so far this season and so it wasn’t a great surprise that this game proved to be an uninspiring affair. Paul Evans will be the happier of both managers with his point.

‘Roedd y ddau dîm yn y ddau safle isaf ddechrau’r diwrnod – Dim syndod yn hynny o beth gan mai dim ond un fuddugoliaeth oedd ganddynt rhyngthyn nhw ddechrau’r diwrnod. Dim syndod felly chwaith mai gêm ddi-fflach a di-sgôr gafwyd ar Faes Tegid. Paul Evans fydd yr hapusaf o’r ddau reolwr gyda’i bwynt.
