Super Saints hit Town for Six

The New Saints 6-0 Carmarthen Town

TNS closed the gap at the top of the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League to three points as they cruised to a 6-0 win at Park Hall.

Chris Jones opened the scoring on seven minutes before midfielder Sam Finley scored one of the League's fastest hat-tricks of all time. Finley equalled Craig Lima's record of a hat-trick in four minutes with strikes in the 13th, 14th and 17th minutes to make it 4-0.

Matty Williams came off the bench for Chris Seargeant on 28 minutes and eight minutes later he made it 5-0.

There wasn't so much to cheer for the hosts after the break, but sub Greg Draper made it six with twelve minutes remaining.

Port Talbot Town 0-1 Newtown AFC

Zach Evans scored the only goal of the game as Newtown stunned Port Talbot Town at the GenQuip Stadium. Evans struck with 40 minutes played and the Robins' second win of the season sees them leapfrog the Steelmen up to ninth.

Aberystwyth Town 1-1 Bala Town

Bala defender Ryan Valentine broke the deadlock in the 59th minute in the S4C live game at Park Avenue. There were chances at both ends in teh first half with Geoff Kellaway missing Aber's best chance with his head.

The hosts were made to pay when Valentine cut in from the right to ghost passed two players before striking from the edge of the box with his left foot to beat Mike Lewis, who shoudl have done better at his near post.

Ian Hughes made changes to get back into the match with Sion James and Craig Williams departing for Bari Morgan and Stuart Fraser and those changes were rewarded. After a good build up from Chris Venables, Antonio Corbisiero and Mark Jones, local lad Stuart Fraser finished clinically in the 72nd minute lifting the ball over Bala 'keeper Ashley Morris to level the scores and claim a point.
