Peter Hoy has signed for Aberystwyth

Aberystwyth Town are pleased to announce the signing of one of the league's most well known defenders, former Welsh Premier League winner Peter Hoy.

Peter Hoy, one of the well known hard men of the Welsh Premier League, has been a mainstay of the league for around a decade. Comfortable normally as a right back or at the centre of defence, Hoy began his Welsh Premier League career with Bangor City in 2003 where he spent two seasons, before he joined Rhyl FC for one season, where his chances were limited. He rejoined Bangor City late in 2006, and quickly re-emerged as a starter for the Citizens, and was an integral part of Neville Powell's revolution as he brought Bangor back to the top of the Welsh Premier. With numerous Welsh Cup medals and a championship medal from Bangor's title victory in 2011, Peter will bring even more experience to a defensive group that have now played well over 1000 Welsh Premier League games between them.
