NEW Afan Lido boss Paul Evans has continued his summer transfer activity by making no less than four new signings, including versatile midfielder Nicky Holland.

Holland, who is known in WPL circles as 'Dutch', formerly of Llanelli, Swansea City and Port Talbot Town, joins up with the Seasiders as they look to cement their place in the Welsh Premier League this forthcoming season.

The 24-year-old brings a wealth of Welsh Premier League experience and can operate across the midfield.

Paul Evans commented: “Nicky has bags of top flight experience and he’ll be a great addition to the squad. Hopefully some of the experience that he brings will rub off on the younger members.”

I’ve worked with these boys for the last four years and I know that they’re more than capable of making the step up to the Welsh Premier League.

He added: “He’s a very fit lad also and will be of great help to us as he can play in a variety of different positions.”

Boss Evans has also made a triple swoop of his former club Tata Steel of Welsh League Division One, signing defender Lee McLachlan, goalkeeper Matthew Stanton, and midfielder Michael Davies.

He explained: “I’ve worked with these boys for the last four years and I know that they’re more than capable of making the step up to the Welsh Premier League.

“They deserve a chance to prove that, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they perform.”
