Carmarthen Town have announced the signing of Cortez Belle on Twitter this evening. Belle joins from the Old Gold's rivals, Port Talbot Town, with whom he spet two seasons, having signed for Mark Jones in August 2011.

Belle, 29, was the Port Talbot Town captain last season, but his campaign was interrupted through injury, making 14 (+2) league appearances, scoring three goals. He mainly played in defence for the Steelmen, but he has also played as a centre-forward.

A Port Talbot Town statement said; "The club would like to wish Cortez well at Carmarthen Town but we were regrettably unable to meet his demands and match Carmarthen’s offer."

Belle played in the Football League for Chester City during the 2004/05 season, but he was red carded three times between September and January and only made one first-team appearance after that before his release. His first spell in the League was with Llanelli and he has also played at Northwich Victoria, Merthyr, Newport and Chippenham Town.
