Old Gold keep Wingmakers Grounded

There were wins for Carmarthen Town in the Championship Conference, as well as Aberystwyth Town and Afan Lido in the Play-Off Conference in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League.

Carmarthen Town 1-0 Airbus UK Broughton

A solitary Corey Thomas goal on 22 minutes was enough for Carmarthen Town to beat Airbus at Richmond Park.

Aberystwyth Town 2-1 Llanelli

Chris Venables drilled in the opener for Aber against the side he used to captain, but a Craig Williams free-kick restored parity. The winner came on 71 minutes through Cledan Davies.

Afan Lido 2-1 gap Connahs Quay

Two goals from the left foot of Chris Hartland saw Paul Reid's side earn back-to-back wins. The Lido came from behind against the ten men of Connah's Quay who had skipper Craig Jones sent off. Mike Hayes scored the opener for the visitors on 35 minutes, but left-winger Hartland scored teh winning double in four second half minutes on 76 and 80.
