WREXHAM LADIES 0 CARDIFF MET 2
The students kept their title hopes very much alive and dealt Wrexham’s ambitions a severe blow at Collier’s Park on Sunday. The opening period proved to be a tight and goal-less affair but only 4 minutes after the break Emily Allen struck to put the visitors in the driving seat. The three points were secured with 10 minutes left as Steph Turner doubled Met’s advantage and kept them hot on the heels of Cardiff City in the race for the title.

CARDIFF CITY 3 NORTHOP HALL 1
Had Ashleigh Hayes’ early effort found the Cardiff net rather than crash the woodwork, the outcome of this game could have been different. Following that scare in the opening minutes Cardiff moved up a gear and influential winger Shanelle Edwards opened the scoring after 25 minutes. The Bluebirds had to wait until 4 minutes after the break for their second goal of the afternoon. It came courtesy of a top corner effort by Kelly Bourne from just inside the penalty box. Catherine Walsh made it 3-0 on the hour mark before second half substitute Louise Clark netted a deserved consolation goal for Northop with 5 minutes left.

CAERNARFON TOWN 0 SWANSEA CITY 4
A Ria Hughes hat-trick bagged the 3 points for the Swans at the Oval on Sunday afternoon. It only took Hughes 6 minutes to find the net for the first time and her second followed on 34 minutes. Chloe Lewis put her name on the score sheet with a quarter of an hour left of play before Hughes completed her hat-trick on 84 minutes.
