Connah's Quay's Ricky Evans scored against his former club to deny Aber all three points at the Deeside Stadium in the only League match of the afternoon.

After a goal-less first-half, where Wyn Thomas saw is effort cleared off the line with the best chance, Aberystwyth took the lead as Cledan Davies struck a low, drilled free-kick into the back of the net.

The Nomads equalised on 67 minutes as a Mike Robinson long-throw was met by the head of John Hardiker before Evans got the final touch into the bottom corner.

With two minutes to go, Aber had great chance to win it as Glyndwr Hughes ran through on goal and as 'keeper Jon Rushton made the challenge, Mark Jones was unable to capitalise.

The Seasiders who are deep in a relegation battle will be disappointed not to have claimed all three points in a game that they had the better of.
