Matty Williams scored the winner
Welsh Cup holders The New Saints booked their place in the semi-final of the FAW Welsh Cup by just the solitary goal at Haverfordwest County on Friday evening.
Despite being reduced to ten-men in the second-half, the Saints finally broke the deadlock at The Conygar Bridge Meadow Stadium in the 57th minute as striker Matty Williams repaid his manager's faith by breaking the deadlock. The former Man Utd youth player, was plagued with injury last season and missed the majority of the campaign, missing out on a Welsh Cup and Premier League medal. He has spent the majority of this term outside the starting eleven, but his strike sees the Saints through to Saturday evening's draw.
The winner came in the 57th minute, just five minutes after referee Mark Whitby gave Sam Finley his marching orders.
