Andy Preece and Andy Morrison have extended their deals at Airbus
Airbus UK Broughton have announced that management duo Andy Preece and Andy Morrison have committed their long-term future to the club. A club statement, issued on Wednesday evening wrote;
DIRECTOR of football Andy Preece and assistant Andy Morrison have signed extended contracts which will keep them at Airbus UK Broughton until June 2016.
Preece, who was appointed to the post just over 12 months ago, says: "We are delighted to have been asked to extend our contracts at Airbus UK.
"The club is a progressive club with highly dedicated staff who more than match our ambition to become a force in the Welsh Premier League.
"To bring such a young club to the position it finds itself at this moment has been an unbelievable achievement done with prudence and without a benefactor.
"We love this attitude to achieve success through hard work, sacrifice and against the odds, nothing has been achieved without these attributes since the club was formed.
We want to be part of this amazing journey for years to come and try and achieve all the goals that have been set
"We want to be part of this amazing journey for years to come and try and achieve all the goals that have been set. Jock and myself are delighted to sign for another three and a half years."
The Wingmakers' chief operating officer Stewart Roberts is also delighted at the outcome of the contract negotiations.
"When we appointed Andy and Jock it represented a new era for Airbus UK Broughton Football Club in terms of personnel and philosophy, a change which meant we could expect a transitional period.
"However, the players that the management team have brought in have all adapted to their unfamiliar surroundings fantastically well, they are a credit to the club and the hard work ethos it stands for.
"We always stated from the outset that we were at the beginning of a three-year plan to qualify for Europe to allow the club to continue to develop correctly.
"This remains the case despite us already having our most successful season ever with eight games to play in the League.
"Andrew Thomas is also integral in this equation as someone who has remained loyal and adapted to change well.
"The chairman, myself and everyone at the club is delighted with the progress under Andy and his team and we look forward to further continued success over the course of their extended contract.
"Of course, if we were to qualify for Europe in their first full season that would be a dreamland scenario," Roberts added.
