Rhydian Davies talks to the FAW
Aberystwyth Town's young midfielder Rhydian Davies, who is currently in camp with the Wales Semi Pro Under 18's, took time out of his busy schedule on Tuesday to talk with the FAW's Lewis Richards at the team hotel in Caernarfon.
Davies is in the Wales squad for Tuesday evening's homegrown players International friendly versus Ireland at Bangor's BookPeople Stadium and he talks about how he has enjoyed the camp to date.
He also disucsses his hopes for the match and also his personal ambitions with the Seasiders this season.
Davies, who has played 22 times in the WPL, with six starts and 16 sub appearances to his name at just 17 years of age, also looks back at his memorable maiden goal in the League at Afan Lido last season.
The local lad, who has progressed through the Academy at Park Avenue, also talks about the excellent breeding ground that the Welsh Premier League Academies have become and he mentions friend Alex Samuel, Gwion Edwards and Rhys Healey as leading examples of teh the talent that is coming through the Academy system.
The squad, managed by Port Talbot Town Head of Youth Mark Pike, is selected from homegrown players that have come through the FAW Academy system.
