Aberystwyth Town begin their push for a Europa League playoff spot, when they take on Bala Town at Park Avenue on Friday evening, 7:45pm.

After 22 games the Seasiders were disappointed to find themselves in eleventh place in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League, taking 26 points from their 22 games so far. However, Aberystwyth are just three points away from seventh place, as the Welsh Premier League is as close as it has ever been, a point which Tomi Morgan was keen to stress ahead of Friday's game.

"I think it will go down to the very last game of the season, with nearly all the teams having a chance of that seventh spot. It's very difficult to call, but all our players are fit and raring to go to grab that seventh place on Friday".

To help with the preparation, Aberystwyth took on Penrhyncoch on Tuesday to give all players game time ahead of the game, where Aberystwyth fell to a disappointing 3-0 defeat, with all goals coming in the first half.

All the players who played came through with no injuries however, so it is only Sean Thornton who continues to be on the long term injury list, although happily he looks to be begin light training in the near future.

Bari Morgan remains suspended, while youngster Liam James remains a doubt from an ankle injury he picked up with Central Wales a fortnight ago, with Liam and Rhydian Davies at a Wales Schools training camp until Friday afternoon.

Bala will be without Conall Murtagh due to suspension but other than that will be at full strength.
