TNS produced a five-star performance to defeat the Huws Gray Alliance leaders in poor weather conditons in Oswestry.

The Saints took the lead direct from a corner on 28 minutes as Christian Seargeant curled it onto the far post, before the ball hit young 'keeper Danny Jones and it bounced in. It was a mistake that led to the second goal as a back-pass from Liam Benson was followed by a poor touch from Jones and Matty Williams scored into an empty net on 36 minutes and the score remained 2-0 at the interval.

The Lilywhites, who were wearing pink on the night, pulled one back on 47 minutes, when TNS were unable to defend a routine corner and Dave Forbes tapped in, but their jubilations were short-lived as Kai Edwards finished from a Chris Seargeant cross to make it 3-1 to the hosts on 58 minutes.

And the result was sealed after Mike Wilde came off the bench as fellow-sub Alex Darlington slipped in the striker who placed the ball into the back of the net (82') and Ryan Fraughan smashed in from the edge of the box to put the icing on the Saints' cake, just two minutes later.

Airbus UK scored a last minute equaliser and then won the penalty shootout 5-4 against the ten-men of Newtown at Latham Park.

Robins striker Luke Boundford scored the opening goal of the game with 28 minutes played and it remained that way until the break. There was a big turning-point just after the break though, as Newtown skipper Nicky Ward was sent off by referee Lee Evans after a melee between several players.

The Wingmakers looked to make their numerical advantage count and they were able to do so in the 89th minute as teenage midfielder Luke McCarthy netted.

The game went into extra-time, but despite having the extra player, Airbus were unable to make that count and the dreaded penalties had to settle the match, with defender Kieran Mills-Evans missing the decisive sixth penalty.
