Danny Thomas has returned to Afan Lido
Afan Lido have announced the re-signing of Danny Thomas from Port Talbot Town just before the window closed.
The winger who was born in Neath, returned to Port Talbot for a second spell in June 2012 from Afan Lido, where he won the League Cup last season. He impressed this season for the Steelmen and was recently awarded the December Goal of the Month by Wales manager Chris Coleman for his excellent solo effort against Prestatyn Town.
His season started badly when he was suspended by the club for an offensive tweet, but that was put behind him as his performances on the field helped Town finish the first stage of the season in fifth place.
He first stepped up to the Welsh Premier League when he originally joined the Steelmen in May 2009, after recieving interest from several clubs whilst impressing during spells with Briton Ferry Athletic and Goytre United. He played for the Steelmen in the Welsh Cup Final in 2010/11, but left shortly after their Europa League campaign. He returned to the Welsh League with Bridgend Town before returning the Welsh Premier with Afan Lido in June 2011.
Port Talbot Town have confirmed the move and have also announed that Josh Pike and Adam France have left on loan for Pontardawe Town in the Welsh League.
