Bangor City are the 35th best-supported team in England and Wales outside the English Football League - that’s according to figures published on the nonleaguematters.co.uk website.
Commenting on the figures, City Chairman Dilwyn Jones said, "Whilst we’re delighted to have come top of the Welsh domestic league in terms of number of fans, I think we’d have been right at the top of the overall table if came to quality of support!"
"What the figures hide is that our excellent attendances are made up largely of home fans – visiting clubs bring relatively few supporters with them to The Book People Stadium. We, however, regularly take a good number of supporters with us to all our away fixtures, and more often than not, a fellow WPL club’s best home gate is when it is entertaining Bangor."
