Newtown manager Bernie McNally believes his side can cause an upset this Saturday by beating Camarthen Town and pinching the last place in the top six before the Welsh Premier League split.

The manager spoke to Newtown's club reporter Jonny Drury at training on Tuesday evening, also saying that the confidence is high in the camp, and the players believe they can pull it off on Saturday.

Newtown have to win at Richmond Park and hope the live game between Bala Town and Connah's Quay ends in a draw.

"We're going in as underdogs...but there is a belief that's simmering underneath, so hopefully we can go down there and upset a lot of people;" said the former Northern Ireland International.

On the injury front there is some further good news for Newtown fans as Andy Jones and Luke Boundford look to be winning their race against fitness as McNally confirms; "We've got one or two little niggles, but they're ok, they're getting better."
