Whilst many of us have been enjoying a relaxing time over the Christmas break, Bangor City Football Club’s Football in the Community Programme has been busy planning activities for the New Year.
Finally, Bangor have just appointed their first Community Coach, who is Iwan Jones from Llanrug. Iwan’s post is funded by Jobs Growth Wales and he will be with City for 26 weeks in the first place. He will be working on the ever-expanding Football in the Community programme and running coaching sessions in local communities.(pic attached – Ethan Ray on the left, Iwan Jones on the right)

Reviewing recent activities, City Chairman Dilwyn Jones said; "We’re very happy at how, working in partnership with Vi-Ability, Bangor City Football Club is really reaching out into the areas where our supporters live and work. Activities like these offer new and exciting events for local youngsters and also help us maintain our profile in the local community."
Community Officer Ethan Ray said, "It has been a fantastic four months working here at Bangor City FC. It’s a great club to be a part of and with Vi-Ability on board as community partner the engagement work being undertaken has gone from strength to strength. We have completed a wide range of projects and activities over the past months from sport to education and have plenty more in store for 2013. We cannot wait to hit the ground running in January and continue to work with the great people of Bangor and the surrounding area".
