Salt was rubbed into Port Talbot wounds as former favourite Liam McCreesh scored the winner for Carmarthen after 69 minutes.

Although Bala came back from a two goal deficit at Maes Tegid - The New Saints marched on in theWord Cup on Tuesday night. Greg Draper opened the scoring after 6 minutes and Phil Baker doubled the advantage after 24 minutes.
Ian Sheridan (70) and Mark Jones (74) made it all square in the second half before the Saints scored the vital goal through Phil Baker again on 76 minutes. What better way for the ex Tranmere defender to put himself in the shop window for a more regular start for the League Champions than putting his side through to the semis.

Two goals in a period of three minutes in extra time won the battle of North East Wales for Airbus at the Deeside Stadium and set up a mouth watering semi final against The New Saints.
Ian Kearney had put the visitors ahead in the first half proper before Nomads drew level in the second period through a Craig Jones goal.
However Steve Abbot and Mike Hayes netted within three minutes of each other in the second period of extra time to secure the victory for Andy Preece's boys.
The semi finals of the competition will again be played to a conclusion on Thursday November the 8th. TheWord Cup is played on a regional basis up until the final so Carmarthen will challenge Llanelli and The New Saints will face Airbus UK. The draw to decide who will have home advantage for the semi finals will be made on Wednesday 31st of October 2012.
