Obi Anoruo
Obi was recalled by Dean Saunders in December 2009 after nine appearances in the League and League Cup for the Robins, which yielded five goals as well as one game and goal in the Welsh Cup.
Newtown AFC announced the loan signing of the Wrexham striker Obi Anoruo on 31st August 2009. The eighteen-year old Nigerian born striker has spent most of his life being raised in Liverpool and he joined Newtown during his second year of training with Wrexham.
He is a regular scorer for the Youth team, scoring at a rate of better than one per game and has played in the Reserves and in friendlies for the Dragons. His good form brought him to the attention of Wrexham manager Dean Saunders though and he earned a debut in the FA Cup replay away to Eastwood Town.
He signed his first professional contract with Wrexham in the 2009 summer.
