Martin Beattie
Martin Beattie left Bangor on 19th August 2009 after four years with the Citizens. He joined Welshpool, who could guarantee the left-back first-team football. The arrival of Chris Roberts at Bangor meant that Beattie dropped down the pecking order at Farrar Road.
Beattie had joined Bangor from NEWI Cefn Druids in August 2005 and won two Welsh Cup Winners medals with the club. He also played for Bangor in both the UEFA Cup and Europa League and made over 100 Welsh Premier League appearances for the Citizens. In between Seasons 2005/06 - 2008/09, he played 90 (+11) times, scoring once. He was an unused substitue against Bala Town in the 2009/10 season's opener before his switch to Welshpool.
He is a versatile left-sided player, who joined City is comfortable in midfield and defence and has also played for West Kirby and Nantwich Town.
