Darren Adie

Darren, 39, originates from Stockport, but is now based in Caldicot with the British Army. Married to Lisa, Darren has four children, Yasmine and Denise both 19, Lauren is 12 and Callum aged 9. Lisa is also expecting their 5th child. Darren has been a FIFA Assistant since 2003 and joined the WPL Supplementary list in 2005. He is now in his first season on the Full Referee's List.

Darren has officiated at the Millennium Stadium on three occasions. He was 4th Official in the Wales v Bosnia and Wales v Scotland matches and an assistant in the Barcelona v Parma friendly. He was also fourth official at the Liberty Stadium for Wales's International Friendly against Bulgaria in August 2006. He also states that the World Cup Qualifier between Bulgaria and Malta in 2004 was a personal highlight.

Domestically, Darren refereed the FAW Trophy Final in 2006 and has been Assistant in two Premier Cup Finals, in 2004 and 2006. The Welsh Premier League will certainly benefit from having Darren, who is highly respected within refereeing circles, on the Full list this year.

Away from football, Darren's hobbies include running, boxing, chess and gardening.
