John Roberts

John is 34 years old and from Llanllyfni. He is married with three children, Ffion (8), Dafydd (4) and Dyfan (1). John started refereeing only six years ago after being a club linesman for five years and he spent and on the Gwynedd League for one. John's first season as a referee was on the Caernarfon and District League in 2002/2003 and he has been promoted annually. He spent last year as a Referee on the Cymru Alliance and he joins the Welsh Premier League Supplementary League this year.

His important matches to date include his first game on the Welsh Premier Line, which was Porthmadog v Airbus in 2005/2006 - This has given him a taste for things to come for this year.

John jokes that he enjoys the job as a referee but not the paperwork afterwards! He also enjoys participating in local Referee Assessor Meetings, to keep up to date with changes and to socialise with his refereeing colleagues. John's hobbies include football, reading, socialising and running.
