Principality Manager of the Month 2008/09
The Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League rewards the best manager for every given month based on their performances in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League and the Loosemores League Cup.

They began the month with a victory at CPD Porthmadog (1-2) and followed it up with another win against Airbus UK Broughton by the same scoreline at home. They then overcame Afan Nedd rivals Neath Athletic 2-0 at the GenQuip Stadium before a final away win against Haverfordwest County at the Bridge Meadow Stadium, courtesy of a solitary Martin Rose effort. In the final game of the Season they put Technogroup Welshpool to the sword in a 4-0 home Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League win.
James Shell, Manager of Port Talbot branch of Principality Building Society, said: "Our warmest congratulations to Mark. Since his re-appointment he has achieved his goal of bringing Port Talbot Town back into the top half of the table - he is a worthy winner of this month's award."

They began with a home triumph over Newtown, coming from behind to win 3-1. They then traveled to the Oval and disposed of Caernarfon at ease by 5-0. They also kept a clean sheet the following Friday against an in-form Port Talbot and took three points courtesy of an own-goal and a Jason Bowen header. They rounded off a fine March with another clean-sheet and five goal triumph at home to Porthmadog.
Jodie Moxham, Branch Manager at Principality Building Society in Llanelli said, "I am delighted that Peter has won this month's Manager Award. Llanelli's winning run since December is a great achievement - I'm sure they can continue to get those well deserved wins and have a great rest of the Season."

The Lilywhites are really showing the consistent form that makes them the Bookies favourites to take the Title, for the first time since the 2003/04 Season under John Hulse. They have won all four League games in February and developed a seven-point lead at the Top of the Table.
During the month, they have enjoyed comfortable home victories over Neath (4-2) and Caernarfon Town (4-0) as well as an excellent 1-0 away win at Aberystwyth's Park Avenue and a 3-2 win at the Deeside Stadium against GAP Connah's Quay.
Debbie Luke, Branch Manager at Principality Building Society in Prestatyn, said: "I am delighted that Alan has won this month's Manager Award. His broad experience in coaching has certainly paid off - Rhyl have had a fantastic season!
"We would like to wish him and the team every success for the future and hope that they continue to conquer on the pitch. It would be a fantastic achievement for the Lillywhites to lift the trophy in a few months time."

The Cardiff-based Manager is still riding high as the Steelmen Chief with a record of three wins and a draw in the Month. He began January with a 1-1 draw against Aberystwyth Town, in a match in which his side dominated after a Darren Davies goal.
They then had to wait two weeks for their next encounter after the Big Freeze, but his side didn't lose their momentum and they gained an excellent 2-0 away win against a decent GAP Connah's Quay side. They then ended Prestatyn Town's unbeaten Home record and they did so in style with a 3-0 triumph at Bastion Road. The icing on the cake for the club though, was their last outing, when they beat League Champions Llanelli at home in the Welsh Cup last Friday evening to progress to the Quarter Finals.
James Shell, Manager of Port Talbot Principality branch said;
"What a great start to the New Year! Mark's enthusiasm for the game has already rubbed off on the team and we are delighted that they have had such great success this month.
"If they continue at this pace, we can look forward to seeing Port Talbot back in the top half of the table. We would like to wish Mark every success as the new manager and our warm congratulations on winning January's Manager of the Month award."

The Bluebirds are flying high in the League and up to sixth, and just one point away from fourth place, which could mean European Qualification and their excellent unbeaten run in December has certainly helped them with that.
They began the month with a commendable win at the GenQuip Stadium against Port Talbot, when a late Leigh Devulgt own-goal handed them the three points. The following Friday saw them gain a point on the road at Neath, which was followed up on the Saturday before Christmas with another three points, courtesy of a win at home to GAP Connah's Quay, through a Jack Christopher brace.
Their most impressive result though was on 27th December, when they ran riot at the Bridge Meadow Stadium against fellow-European aspirants Aberystwyth Town.

Ryan's Robins won three of their four League matches during the month to climb up the League Table after an indifferent start to the campaign. They enjoyed notable wins over two strong and in-form sides in Haverfordwest County and Aberystwyth Town and they also beat Neath FC 2-0 at Latham Park.
They disposed of County 4-2 and also beat Mid Wales Rivals' Aberystwyth Town 2-1. They finished the month with a creditable away draw at the Deeside Stadium in a 3-3 epic against GAP Connah's Quay.
It's the first time that the young Manager has won the Award and it certainly epitomises his potential as an excellent Boss for the Future.
Darren received his Award at Latham Park before the League fixture against Rhyl in December 2008.

Nico wins his first Award of the Season, having scooped it three times in last year's Championship Winning campaign. The Reds ended the month in familiar surroundings at the top of the League, with three League victories and a very impressive fifteen goals. They began the month with a Welsh Cup win over fellow-Top Flight outfit Neath FC (4-0).
They then won three successive League matches, with a 6-1 triumph over Prestatyn Town at Stebonheath, a 6-2 away success at Newtown's Latham Park, before a 3-2 win over Caernarfon at home. The Reds did slip up in the Loosemores Cup against Port Talbot Town, but the margin of their League wins and regaining Pole Position makes Peter Nicholas a worthy recipient of the £100.00 cheque from our Sponsors Principality Building Society. Rhian Davis, Senior Branch Manager in the Principality, Llanelli said,
"We are delighted to see Llanelli AFC at the top of the table at the moment, having made a great start in defending their title. Peter continues to demonstrate his expertise as manager and is a worthy winner of this month's Principality Manager of the Month Award. Everyone at the Llanelli branch is pleased to offer him their warmest congratulations."

Cale who has a tremendous coaching CV certainly knows the importance of a strong defence, and they have only conceded once in the League this term against Champions Llanelli. They remain unbeaten to date, with just draws at Newtown and Llanelli being the only dropped points in the League thus far. Prestatyn Town also gained an excellent draw at Park Hall in the Loosemores Cup, but the Saints are really showing their Title credentials in the League.
Cale lost key-player Chris King in the summer to Accrington Stanley, but has recruited wisely with the emergence of youngster Alex Darlington, who joined from Wrexham and more recently Craig Williams from Champions Llanelli. Cale was presented with his award and a Principality cheque for £100 at Park Hall.
