The winner of the award is Alan Morgan of Aberystwyth Town. Alan's well-deserved selection comes on the back of three wins and a draw in March, extending an unbeaten run to seven games at the end of the month. A win at Newtown followed by home successes against Bangor and Porthmadog and a draw at Bala clinched the prestigious award.

Aberystwyth Town announced Alan Morgan as their new Manager on Wednesday 4th November 2009. Aberystwyth-born Alan, who turned 36 two days before his appointment, had been instrumental in a successful period with Bangor City as Assistant Manager to Neville Powell, helping them to consecutive Welsh Cup Final triumphs.

After spending ten years as a professional at Tranmere Rovers and another year at Doncaster Rovers, Alan went on to play for Connah's Quay Nomads, Rhyl, and Porthmadog in the Welsh Premier League, and had a brief spell as Player Manager at NEWI Cefn Druids. Alan is currently also Head of Tranmere Rovers' Academy and completed his UEFA 'A' Licence badge in November 2009, enrolling on the UEFA Pro Licence Course last month.

Phil Richards, Manager of the Principality in Aberystwyth said; "Well done to Alan! Alan has done a great job since his appointment last November and we are delighted to extend our warmest congratulations to him for winning this month's Manager of the Month award.

"We have been impressed with the standard of play across the League this season - It has certainly been a cracking season of football talent."

The Principality Welsh Premier League Manager of the Month for February is Llanelli's Andy Legg. The former Wales International scoops the award for the first time in his career, as he sits happy at the top of the Principality Welsh Premier League with the Reds.

Llanelli were the only side to win all League games in the month and the West Wales outfit enjoyed two good wins on the road in February. They began the month with a 2-0 win over Newtown at Latham Park, with Stuart Jones and Jordan Follows scoring. They then won a difficult midweek encounter at Airbus UK Broughton 1-0, with Rhys Griffiths scoring the only goal. The Reds' only home league game of the month saw them record a comfortable 5-0 win over Porthmadog. Legg's side scored eight goals in the month to claim the maximum nine points on offer, without conceding a goal in the 270 minutes played.

Legg has enjoyed an illustrious playing career, which saw him play for Wales at International level and at Cardiff City and Swansea City as well. He began his Welsh Premier League career in his 40's at Llanelli and has played in Europe for the Reds. He left the club for a brief and unsuccesful spell as Hucknall Town Manager but returned to Llanelli as a player, ultimately replacing Peter Nicholas in the summer as player/manager.

Andy is on the Pro Licence coaching course.

The Principality Welsh Premier League Manager of the Month for January is Bala Town's Colin Caton, who scoops the award for the first time in his short top-flight career. The Bala boss is enjoying life in the top-flight after he guided the Lakesiders to the Cymru Alliance title last season. Although there weren't many games played in the month due to the adverse weather, Caton still recorded a 100% winning record with successive league triumphs away from home and a Welsh Cup Round 4 win at Maes Tegid. It is the latter which is most impressive, given the fact that he has guided Bala into the Welsh Cup Quarter Finals for the first time in their 120 year history. A brace from Ricky Evans saw the Caton's men progress at the expense of fellow Welsh Premier outfit Caersws.

In the Principality Welsh Premier, Caton guided the club to wins over Porthmadog at Y Traeth (2-0), with goals from Warren Duckett and Ricky Evans and then a first win of the month against Caersws at the Rec by 3-1.

"We are delighted that Colin has been awarded Manager of the Month as he continues to demonstrate his expertise at the helm;" said a Principality Building Society representative.

"With the recent new signings we have high hopes for the team and look forward to watching them storm ahead towards the top of the table. Nurturing latent talent is at the very essence of the Premier League and is the reason why Principality is committed to supporting grass roots sport."

Bangor City Manager Neville Powell has been named as the Principality Building Society Manager of the Month for December after a 100% success rate during the month.

The Citizens chief has enjoyed his most consistent period of a generally inconsistent season, which has seen his side climb back into the Top Eight of the League. City were able to play four League games in the month, despite the poor weather conditions throughout the country and scooped all twelve points on offer, netting an impressive sixteen goals at and average of four strikes per game.

They began December at Caersws and won 3-1 and they also travelled to the Bluebirds' rivals, Newtown the following Saturday and won an exciting game 5-2 with Ashley Stott and Chris Sharp bagging a brace each and Jamie Reed rounding off a good afternoon with a spectacular finish.

Just three days later on a Tuesday evening, the Citizens hosted Bala Town in an even more eventful game. They went one better to score six goals in a 6-3 triumph, having come from 3-1 behind at the break. Reed and Sharp both netted doubles and Stott and Morley also found the back of the net. Powell's last match of 2009 was on 27th December against Porthmadog and his side finished the year in style with a 2-0 win at Farrar Road, with Reed again bagging a brace.

"We are delighted to extend our warmest congratulations to Neville Powell at Bangor City," said Principality's David Critcher, Retail Sales Manager for North Wales. "This year Principality is celebrating 150 years of business at the heart of Wales. We are committed to supporting sport in Wales and we are especially impressed with the success of the North Wales teams," he added.

Two of the wins were against fellow title contenders Llanelli and Rhyl and in addition Saints won through to the final of the Loosemores Cup with an aggregate win over Port Talbot Town. Dr. Andy Cale is a vastly experienced Manager, who holds the Pro Licence diploma for coaching. He replaced the long-serving Ken McKenna at Park Hall in March 2008.

Mark Roberts, Regulated Sales Manager for North Wales, said; "Congratulations to Andy, who has really improved the The Saints' performance - they are on excellent form, climbing to second place in the table. Having led The Saints to their first Welsh Premier League title in 2000, we have no doubt that Andy can do it again.

"We wish him and the rest of the team all the best in the New Year. It's great to see the North Wales teams playing so well!"

Neath boss Andy Dyer has been awarded the Principality Welsh Premier League Manager of the Month for October. Dyer has enjoyed an excellent run of form with the Gnoll club, which has made his side genuine title contenders.

During a difficult month for fixtures, the Eagles took seven points from nine in the League from matches against the 'Big Three'. They started with a 2-1 home win against Llanelli in their first League game of the month. They then beat Rhyl 2-0 at the Gnoll with Stephen Pockett and Craig Steins netting against the Champions. They finished the month with a creditable 2-2 draw at Park Hall against TNS.

Fiona Jones, Manager of Principality Building Society in Neath, said: "October has been a great month for Neath and I'd like to congratulate Andy Dyer on a well-deserved Manager of the Month...Andy and the team have had a great start to the season. It's fantastic to see them second from the top of the table! We hope their winning ways will continue over the next few months to clinch the top spot."

The Rhyl Player Manager Greg Strong has scooped the first Principality Building Society Welsh Premier League Manager of the Month Award for August/September. The veteran player, who only took charge of the Champions on July 30th, has guided his side to top-spot in the League and they boast a 100% winning record in the Loosemores Cup as well.

They remain unbeaten to date, with six League wins and just a draw at Airbus being the only blemish on an otherwise perfect start to the Season. The six victories have come against Carmarthen Town, Port Talbot, GAP Connah's Quay, Newtown, Porthmadog and the highlight of his short time in charge - A 5-1 home win over rivals Bangor City, which despite all of the changes in personnel at Belle Vue since they won last year's Championship, again underlined their Title credentials for this season.

It's the first Managerial Award for the commanding defender and it follows on nicely from winning the Principality Player of the Month Award last April. Greg will receive a Principality cheque for £100 at a match at Belle Vue soon.
